Funny money

(Funny-peculiar, that is, not funny-ha-ha.)

Just read this fantastic article about money and our relationship to faith and worship.  It includes the fantastic image:

That money demands our faith in order to work is not in itself a problem. In one sense, every tool we use requires that we trust it to work. But because money promises so much, it acts like a black hole for our trust, sucking in all our faith as it offers us ever more.

Good stuff, eh?

I won’t ruin it for you by saying any more, go and read it yourself here.  If it’s been archived by the time you get there, its title was “The Rich List”.

And in case you’re wondering, no, I didn’t realise it was by one of my colleagues until after I had read and appreciated it!

HA! I think it’s hilarious that you didn’t realise that Nick wrote that article.

I, of course, guessed it immediately. At least, I guessed it immediately after I read his name at the bottom 🙂
