A city for life

A city for life

This year when I was invited to write for Scripture Union’s Daily Bread Bible reading notes, I was assigned my favourite book in the Bible: Nehemiah.

I love this story of a servant leader mobilising hundreds of people to rebuild the walls of their sacred city, Jerusalem. It was really fun to be able to dig into the story and pull out two weeks’ worth of lessons from it.

My readings begin today, both in the paper copy (Jul-Sep 2019) and online at the WordLive site.

I hope you find them helpful.

    Thankyou Jennie Pollock
I have been reading the amazing story of
    Nehemiah.
Your article regarding the unkind comments to Beth Moore, was inspiring and I learned a lot more about a subject I am passionate about, women who practice Leadership with a Serving heart.
I’m thinking of Christine Cain. A 21 campaign.

    Kind Regards

Thank you so much, Wanda. I really appreciate your encouragement. Yes, there are some really inspiring, wonderful, servant-hearted leaders out there – both male and female. I have been privileged to have learned so much from many of them. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
